In this post I'm going to try to explain the creating process of my designs. Some explanations are going to be very simple and other might be more elaborate.
This is one of my first painting. I was not very experimented in painting at this time so I didn't really know what I was doing. But I've always had an eye for colors, textures and contrasts. I also used ink markers and acrylic paint markers. I painted this owl because I've always loved birds. So they are one of my favorite subjects and appears often in my designs. Available in my society6, redbubble and artpal shops on various items. #owl #nature #fauna #acrylic #painting
For this diamond heart I was first inspired by a skillshare video. I wanted to improve my skills in graphic design so I started to watch a bunch of classes and tutorials. And then I found a class about watercolor gems and jewelry by Ana Victoria Calderon on skill share that inspired me. I then searched on the web about jewelry and found some great ideas. I think it was a necklace with a ruby heart with gold horns and a gold tail with a small diamond. I decided to draw it digitally with the techniques I learned from the video and the procreate app. This design is available in my society6 and redbubble shops. #heart #devilish #jewelry #gems #digitaldesign http://www.redbubble.com/people/melanienad/works/36978844-devilish-heart?p=womens-fitted-v-neck&asc=u
For this design I was inspired by some cakes I saw at the bakery. I saw a cupcake that looked very yummy and I wanted to try to reproduce it. I took a picture with my phone to have a reference because my memory is not so good. Then I painted this piece digitally with procreate. Available in my society6, redbubble and art pal shops. #cupcake #digital design #food #kitchen

For this cute little puppy I was inspired by a friend’s dog. I really like animals and pets. I also saw a picture of this dog and I really liked the color of the blanket. I decided to paint it digitally because I just got my new iPad pro with the procreate app. Available in my society6 artpal and redbubble stores. #dog #pets #digitalart #procreate

This is an other digital painting I did a while ago with the procreate app on my iPad pro. I really like the horse with the contrast of the brown and blond hair and the lighting behind it. I also like the fall scenery in the background. I painted this piece because I like nature and animals. Available in my society6 artpal and redbubble stores. #animals #horse #nature #fall #procreate #digitalart

This is a drawing I made initially with pastels and acrylic paint on a black paper. I then reworked it digitally. I was inspired by a picture took by my daughter in a photography class. She was 14 years old at this time and I thought she got some talent. That picture looked really good. It inspired me to draw it. I really like the textures and contrast on the picture and the drawing. Available in my society6 artpal and redbubble stores. #pastels #flowers #butterfly #photography

This is an acrylic painting of water lilies. I really like those flowers. I always think a water garden with water lilies has this dreamy and relaxing vibes. It helps you find a feeling of peace. I think this painting would be an ideal piece in a zen decor with some bamboo accents and a living bamboo plant. I love animals but I will confess my favorite is the cat. And isn't any baby animal always cute? When I saw that photo of a kitten standing on its rear paws with that cute little face saying: please, love me, I couldn't resist to attempt capturing that expression in a drawing. I quickly sketched this kitty on my iPad with the procreate app. and added a bubble to make the kitty say what I imagined. And this is the result.
